Wendell Scott Impact Award
The Wendell Scott Impact Award, in partnership with Liberty University, is named after the legendary Wendell Scott, the first African American NASCAR driver. This prestigious award celebrates those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, perseverance, and a commitment to making a difference. It’s a powerful way to honor Wendell Scott’s legacy and inspire others to follow in his footsteps, using their platform to create positive change in the world.
AWARD
The Wendell Scott Impact Award, in partnership with Liberty University, provides an additional scholarship opportunity for students. When registering at Liberty University for the fall semesters of 2024 and 2025, eligible students can receive this scholarship and any other scholarships they may qualify for. The award offers $1000.00 per academic year for a resident undergraduate degree program, totaling $4000 over the course of their studies. To maintain eligibility, recipients must remain enrolled without any breaks in enrollment.
ELIGIBILITY
To receive this award, you must:
– be enrolled full-time at Liberty University
– be a degree-seeking student,
– stay enrolled and not break enrollment
– actively participate in events related to the scholarship, such as honoring Wendell Scott’s legacy
– complete Wendell Scott Legacy Nomination Form
