Who We Are

The Wendell Scott Foundation is a national, not for profit 501c3 established to commemorate the memory of the first African-American race car driver to win the Grand National, NASCAR’S highest level, Wendell Scott. The Wendell Scott Foundation works to provide youth services to at-risk youth from 8-18 years old. The foundation supports educational development through cultural activities, STEM based programs, and mentorship endeavors.

“The Steer into STEM Program empowers underrepresented youth in STEM through hands-on learning, interactive activities, workshops, and mentorship.

Camp Cultivation offers high school students a unique overnight STEM learning experience with activities like simulation, AR, VR, workshops, and labs. This three-day program provides a taste of college life, fostering essential STEM skills, friendships, and a passion for science and technology.

The Wendell Scott Foundation Mentoring Program connects youth with mentors who provide academic, career, and behavior guidance. It includes cultural enrichment activities and tailors its approach to individual needs, fostering healthy development.
